Behind every piece is a gesture. And behind every gesture, a long period of time: that of learning, of making mistakes, of finding precision once more. A workshop is not a place where things are made quickly; it is a place where one takes the time to do things well, and where the sound of the grinding wheel eventually begins to sound like music.

Fine craftsmanship, a celebration of the gesture
Every spring, the European Artistic Crafts Days open workshops to the public, throughout France and Europe. They are coordinated by the National Institute of Fine Crafts, as indicated by the Ministry of Culture, now renamed the Institute for French Know-How, according to the press release for the 2025 edition. The 20th edition was held from April 7 to 12, 2026, on the theme "Hearts at Work," according to Festival en France.
The mark of the rare
The State also distinguishes companies with rare and exceptional know-how with the Living Heritage Company label, created in 2005 and awarded for five years, reminds the Île-de-France prefecture. A way of saying that luxury, in France, is primarily a matter of transmission: one does not buy it, one receives it, perfects it, and passes it on.
Steel and wood, a school of patience
At Blunt France, steel is cut, bent, assembled, and finished; solid wood is chosen, sanded, and oiled. Every step has its own slowness. Since 2006, our Biarritz workshops have been handcrafting unique pieces, signed and dated from the year of their creation. It is these details—a softened edge, a revealed grain, a perfect matte finish—that make a table a table you keep.
Touch before choosing
We believe in the power of material and its individuality. Hence the sample kit: to feel the steel and wood in your hand before choosing. You will find the same standard of excellence in our article on Cenitz, in our heritage, or by pushing open the door to our design office.
The raw timeless elegance.
