The meaning of the words: Blunt , which evokes the raw, protruding, angular material that we like to work, to blunt without distorting it.

The Manufacture

Since 2006, Blunt France has been rehabilitating materials in an instinctive creative process. Our workshops in Biarritz produce aesthetic, timeless and elegant collections with ethics to enhance the strength of materials.

The craftsman knows how to go about obtaining the object he wants. The artist, on the other hand, does not know in advance what he is going to achieve, nor how he is going to do it.

This is what makes Blunt France unique, the union of these two worlds. For solid wood pieces, it is the hands of the cabinetmaker and the carpenter who intervene in turn. At this stage, the limit with the sculptor's profession is close.

Each piece of furniture passes through the hands of our artists until final assembly. Every detail is important at each stage of manufacturing.

The finishing of the works is one of the particularities of the Blunt France brand and a positive obsession every day.

Varnish, oil, wax or lacquer, all the operations of the finishing phase are part of a precise and meticulous process to achieve the perfection of detail that appeals to the eye and the sense of touch.

Our signature is also this back and forth between design and craftsmanship, where each piece of furniture is the result of a well-formulated design, then a controlled gesture.
