About Finishes

The finishing of the works is a singularity of Blunt furniture and a positive obsession of our teams. Texture, Angles and Reflections are worked by hand for a unique rendering.

"It is by living with the material, by shaping it, by perceiving its secrets, its qualities and its defects that we arrive at a finishing process where steel becomes a warm, functional, docile and friendly material"

The Used Steel finish

The Used Steel finish is one of the most unique and authentic finishes. It consists of accentuating the details, singularities and marks of the Steel during the manufacture of the furniture.
This takes the form of gray ripples or traces which, once fixed, offer unique reflections visible to the naked eye and accentuate the brightness of the furniture.

The Dark Steel finish

The Dark Steel finish offers an appearance covered in roughness, traces of rolling mills in a uniform whole. It offers visual homogeneity while retaining the singularity of the original steel.
We remind you that we work with solid steel. Each sheet of steel is different and may have rolling mill patterns, some traces or roughness that differ from one steel to another.

The Blunt Factory

Since 2006, Blunt France has been rehabilitating materials in an instinctive creative process. Our workshop in Biarritz produces aesthetic, timeless and elegant collections with ethics to enhance the strength of materials.

Each piece - made by hand, expresses the excellence of the gesture and the requirement of the material, authenticated by signature with its year of manufacture.
